What to Bring:
Expect hot and sunny weather, but be prepared for wind, cold and rain too! Please bring sunscreen, a sun hat, sturdy walking footwear, a snack and at least 1 litre of water for all walks. For longer hikes you will need at least 2 litres of water, a snack or lunch (if not provided), sturdy hiking footwear and a rain jacket. Binoculars, cameras, plant and bird field guides are optional, but add to your enjoyment.
Meeting Your Event Leader & Group:
Once you have registered, you will receive information and
a map that details your field trip meeting time and location. Please
check the date, time and meeting place for each event. Watch for
Meadowlark Festival signs to help direct you to event parking outside of
Penticton. Tours will leave on time, so please do not be late!
Children:
The Meadowlark Festival welcomes children and encourages them to take part. Some activities are suitable for children only! Please check the Program and/or detailed descriptions for each tour for any age restriction. To ensure that the events can be enjoyed by everyone, please ensure that children taking part are interested in the event/tour subject. Children under the age of 14 MUST be accompanied by an adult (unless stated).
Please leave Fido at home!
Sorry! No pets are able to join you on Meadowlark Festival events. Please do not
