Meadowlark Nature Festival

Getting Ready for the Meadowlark Nature Festival...

What to Bring: Please check first if your event is an evening, early morning, night or daytime event and dress appropriately. Be prepared for wind, cold, rain or hot and sunny weather! Please bring sunscreen, a sun hat, sturdy walking footwear, a snack and at least 1 litre of water for all walks. For longer hikes you will need at least 2 litres of water, a snack or bagged lunch (if not provided), sturdy hiking footwear and a rain jacket. Binoculars, cameras, walking sticks/poles, plant and bird field guides, etc, are optional but add to your enjoyment.

Meeting Your Leader & Group: Once you have registered and booked your tickets, you will receive information that details your field trip including the meeting time and location. Please double check the date, time and meeting place for each event. Watch for Meadowlark Nature Festival vehicle signs to help direct you to event parking. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the event start time to check-in. Tours will leave on time, so please do not be late!

Children: The Meadowlark Nature Festival welcomes children and encourages them to take part. Some activities are suitable for children only! Please check the Program and/or detailed descriptions for each tour for any age restrictions. To ensure that the events can be enjoyed by everyone, please ensure that children taking part are interested in the event/tour subject. Children under the age of 14 MUST be accompanied by an adult (unless stated).

Please Leave Fido at Home: With the exception of service dogs, no pets are able to join you on Meadowlark Nature Festival events.
