‘Eye Spy a Meadowlark’ is a fused glass artwork that was inspired by my recollection of early childhood experiences living on the prairies.
A prairie field was my playground and the Meadowlark’s song and presence left a vivid impression on my memories. The glass colors were woven together to create a sense of the prairie vastness and typical hues.
I highlighted the Meadowlark for reasons that span the years, and whether I lived on the prairies in Manitoba or in the mountains of BC, the bird’s presence continually touches me with a sense of joy and harmony.
